Texas Deadlines for Failure-to-Diagnose Claims

Texas medical malpractice claims generally must be filed within two years from the date of the negligent act or, if that specific date can’t be determined, within two years from the date the relevant medical treatment or hospitalization was completed. Unlike general negligence claims, Texas doesn’t broadly apply the discovery rule to medical malpractice.
